Support private sector to fight unemployment’

The private sector has the capacity to reduce the rate unemployment in the country if it is supported by all stakeholders, Olive Uwicyeza Sina, the Sina Gerald Enterprise deputy director, has said.

She called on the government to continue supporting the sector through the Private Sector Federation to realise this goal.

Sina also challenged job-seekers to harness their skills, saying it is imperative to understand that their employability depends on how skilled they are.

“The government should conduct seasonal trainings to equip job-seekers with the skills required by the private sector,” Sina said while speaking at a function to mark International Labour Day at the company headquarters in Nyirangarama, Rulindo district on Wednesday.

The firm’s two excelling workers, Francoise Musabe and Xavier Nyirimpunga were also rewarded with Rwf1m each at the function.
