RSSB has no intention to invest in surgical facilities

Editor,

The management of RSSB would like to set the record straight regarding a story that appeared in The New Times of August 8 titled “New Heart Center to be set up”.

RSSB management would like to inform the public that it intends to shift all pre-existing medical and pharmaceutical services to the Twin Towers located adjacent to RSSB’s Headquarters which will be organised as a state of the art and ultra modern “Doctor’s Plaza”.

For purposes of providing modern health care facilities, the institution is in discussion with various partners to widen the range of services offered by RSSB to its affiliates but no contract has been signed as reported earlier in The New Times.

It should be noted that the “Doctor’s plaza” will, among others, offer services that include state of art Pathology & Radiology services; Ultra Modern Doctors Consultation Centers; Specialized Eye Care and 24 Hours dedicated pharmacy services.

However, contrary to what was reported in the article, RSSB has no intention to invest in surgical or hospitalisation facilities. We apologise to the public for any inconveniences caused by the article.
