JPM appoints three as TIPER gets new boss

PRESIDENT John Magufuli has appointed Professor Abdulkarim Hamisi Mruma as the new Chairman of Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Limited (TIPER).
According to a statement issued yesterday by the Directorate of Presidential Communications, prior to his appointment, Prof Mruma was the Chief Executive Officer of Geological Survey of Tanzania (GST).
“Dr Magufuli has also appointed Prof Joseph Buchweshaija, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), as the...
chairperson of Puma Energy Tanzania Limited,” the statement reads in part.
In the third appointment, President Magufuli has appointed Prof Evaristo Joseph Liwa as Ardhi University ViceChancellor. Prof Liwa has replaced Prof Idrissa Mshoro who has retired.
The appointment of the officials commenced on August 17, this year.
