Afya, usalama na kazi za nyumbani


 


Mmojawapo wa wafanyakazi wa nyumbani ambao hawana hifadhi ya jamii ya aina yeyote au akiba ili kulipa bili za matibabu. Ambapo utafiti unaonesha wafanyakazi wengi wa ndani hawajui haki zao, hivyo hawawezi kudai ulinzi au haki zao kutoka kwa waajiri wao kama vile kuandikishwa na mifuko ya pensheni ya hifadhi ya jamii.

Tanzania zikiwemo Brazil na nchi kadhaa, zimeanza kuwahusisha wafanyakazi wa majumbani katika sheria za kazi ili kuwapatia kinga au haki za msingi kama vile likizo ya uzazi, likizo ya ugonjwa na ruzuku ya serikali pindi wanapokuwa hawana kazi.

Hata hivyo, inaweza kuwa vigumu sana kutekeleza sheria hii katika nchi yetu ambayo wasimamiaji wa sheria za kazi hawana vitendea kazi au rasilimali za kutosha za kufanyia kazi zao na mifumo ya taarifa/habari ni duni. Aidha, wafanyakazi wengi wa ndani hawajui haki zao, hivyo hawawezi kudai ulinzi au haki zao kutoka kwa waajiri wao kama vile kuandikishwa na mifuko ya pensheni ya hifadhi ya jamii.
