Jubilee MPs have accused the ICC of being insensitive to President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
The 17 MPs termed as unfortunate the decision by the Appeals Chamber to deny Mr Ruto’s request, saying it was not in the interests of the country.
“We are not satisfied with the decision of the Court, we hoped for a more positive decision,” the MPs said.
The
Appeals Chamber headed by ICC president Sang-Hyun Song unanimously
reversed Trial Chambers V (a) decision which granted Mr Ruto conditional
excusal from physical presence to allow him attend to his
constitutional duties.
