Success does not create the people who
enjoy it. It is the people who create success. People give achievement
and leadership positions the importance and prestige, not the other way
round.
The price of maize flour is at an all-time-high
and putting a square meal on the table has become a daily struggle. I
see many still alive and moving around everyday meaning that they are
eating.
They live in a house, wear clothes and
generally do their best to survive. “Life is hard”. Yes, and the more
time and energy we put into repeating these words, the harder it is
wont to become.
It has been rightfully said that your
legs cannot take you where your mind has never been. This puts
imagination and belief in self right at the fulcrum of achievement.
Our bodies, however, large they may be are but only instruments of our
minds.
Think and believe that you cannot afford
anything and you are right. Think and believe you cannot do, have or
become more than your current situation and you’re right on that too.
Those
who intently make the effort to go beyond where they are intentionally
pay the high price of achievement. They habitually choose to spend
their time, comfort and resources investing in their pursuit of a
fulfilled personal and professional life.
A lot of
them hold high-level positions and continually improve upon their
already admirable gains. Their guiding belief is that while it is hard,
they are capable of attaining the best there is and don’t stop until it
comes to fruition.
If you find this mindset even slightly exciting, you
are on the right track. It is not envy. We are all wired to
continually advance.
Any normal human being seeks to do
have and become more for themselves. No matter how much others may
frown upon this thought, you owe it to yourself to make it your default
way of thinking, feeling and acting.
Know that if
anything in your life is to be, it is up to you. No one can or is
willing to do it for you. Everyone is busy working on their own failure
or success. If they can spare a moment for your wants and desires, it
is because it serves them in one way or another.
Get
this; no one just loves you from the goodness of their heart. Even
philanthropists only think of others when they have more than plenty for
themselves and will never give you as much as you are capable of giving
yourself.
Of course there is the rare selfless
angelic human being who may just find and help you along, but you may
have to hit rock bottom to qualify for their help and even then, it is
not a bankable possibility.
Take care of yourself.
Nourish your body with “can do” thoughts that inspire your body to do
nothing else, but engage in productive activity as the only standard to
live by.
