TANZANIA Breweries Limited (TBL) has won government accolades for maintaining crisis free working environment that has increased industry productivity.
Minister of State in the Prime
Minister’s Office Policies, Parliament, Labour, Youth, Employment and
People with Disabilities Jenista Mhagama described TBL as a good example
that all employers in the country should emulate.
She made the remarks here after
witnessing the endorsement of Voluntary Agreement between TBL and
Tanzania Union of Industry and Commercial Workers. The conducive working
environment at TBL, said the minister, has yielded great achievements
in the company productivity.
She said it was rare to have an employer
who is not colluding with employees’ leaders against the majority
workers, Ms Mhagama cited for special praise TBL’s special programme to
improve manpower at work place for improved efficiency.
“Sitting together with workers’
representatives is important as you jointly plan and discuss your
working goals, transparently,” said the minister. TUICO General
Secretary Boniface Nkakatisi said the trade union was proud to have TBL
as an example of good employers.
