CHINESE government and its people will remain committed in the friendship with the Tanzanian government and its people. The upshot is to strengthen the China-Tanzanian relationship particularly in politics, mutual trust and cultural exchange.
The Executive Director with the China
Cultural office in Tanzania, Mr Gao Wei, made the remarks in Dar es
Salaam yesterday when addressing journalists on the Chinese New Year
Celebration to be held on Saturday this year at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds in
Dar es Salaam.
“In order to further our relationship
with our Tanzanian friends, the Chinese people who work in Tanzania will
have an opportunity to enjoy, and to offer chance for Tanzanians to
share the festivities,” Mr Wei said.
Under the theme ‘Focus on Africa,
Chinese New Year in Tanzania’ the event will blend with more Chinese
traditional arts shows and Tanzania art shows including Chinese songs,
dancing, acrobatics, national musical instruments and martial arts,
among others. “It is a perfect combination of the two different cultures
and will surely build a good connection between the two nations,” he
said.
He pointed out that the festival aims at
promoting the understanding of Tanzanian people about Chinese culture
and offering a chance for Tanzanian people to share the festivities.
