A total 277,614 new cars were registered last month, a fall of 1.9 per cent compared with the figures for the same month in 2013, according to data compiled by the federal automobile agency, KBA.
In May, new registrations had risen by 5.2 per cent.
Taking the first six months as a whole, new registrations rose by 2.4 per cent to 1.538 million units, KBA calculated.
