FRANKFURT, Wednesday
New
car registrations in Germany, a key measure of demand in one of the
most important sectors of Europe's top economy, declined in June, data
showed on Wednesday.
A total 277,614 new cars were
registered last month, a fall of 1.9 per cent compared with the figures
for the same month in 2013, according to data compiled by the federal
automobile agency, KBA.
In May, new registrations had risen by 5.2 per cent.
Taking the first six months as a whole, new registrations rose by 2.4 per cent to 1.538 million units, KBA calculated.
