Dar es Salaam. Vice President Dr Mohammed Gharib Bilal yesterday received new members of the Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF).
The
members are among the first individuals who are not civil servants to
be registered by the government pension fund following amendments to the
Social Security Regulatory Authority Act.Dr Bilal received the new
members – a fisherman and a small trader – during the PSPF Annual
General Meeting he officiated in the city.
In his remarks, he
urged the PSPF and other social security funds to make sure that they
reach all Tanzanians who are eligible for services of the fund.
“Make sure that you make all efforts to reach many Tanzanians in the formal and informal sectors,” Dr Bilal said.

a quick response, Finance minister William Mgimwa expressed government
commitment to forward monthly instalments for pensions on time.
