Needed: Business continuity plan and process manage

The National Oil Corporation of Kenya is inviting bids from companies with experience in the petroleum industry to assist in developing a business continuity plan.

The plan will ensure timely resumption of critical business functions in the event of major disruptions or disaster.

The layout will be used by NOCK as a tool to improve its resilience by identifying, in advance, potential impacts of a wide variety of sudden disruptions to its ability to operate smoothly in the face of a calamities.

It is expected to include corporate continuity, crisis management, facilities and regulatory requirements. Bidders are expected to provide an overview of their plan and a time schedule for the project.

Business Process Management
The Local Authorities Pension Plan Trust (LAPTRUST) is undertaking a digitisation project for the funds registry. It is looking for a service provider to supply, install, configure and implement an automated business process.

This includes archiving about 2.5 million documents, indexing them and providing a logical way of accessing them when needed by integrating it with the existing systems.
This will require training users and administrators on the system and offering support. You should also have manufacturers authorisation letters for the work.

If you have the experience (five years) and technical capability to carry out this job, obtain the tender document at Laptrust House on Haile Selassie Avenue. The completed documents are expected to be submitted by July 5 at 11 am.

Medical insurance
Insurance companies are invited by the Kenya Forestry Service to bid for provision of corporate insurance covers. The specific covers are medical, group life and personal accident. The firm must have been in business for over five years and be able to handle business in excess of Sh100 million per year.

Attach your audited accounts for the last three years and prices quoted must remain constant for the next 90 days.As part of the tender you should furnish a tender security of Sh60 000 in cash or a bank guarantee.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents from the head of supply chain management office at the corporations’ headquarters at Karura, off Kiambu Road. This tender closes on July 6, at noon.

Milk processing
New KCC (Kenya Cooperative Cremeries) has invited bids for design, supply, installation and commissioning of milk processing equipment. These include an Automatic CIP System, milk powder filling line, spray drier Milk atomiser, milk concentrate re-heater unit, milk pasteurizers and an aseptic fruit concentrate mixing unit.

Complete tender documents with detailed information may be obtained from the procurement manager, New KCC Ltd on Dakar Road upon payment of Sh3,500. Some of these bids are being re-tendered and those who had participated earlier won’t pay again.

Tenders must be accompanied by the specified bid security valid for 120 days from the tender closing/opening. The tender closes will close on June 25.
