CRDB, TFF sign 3.76bn/- Federation Cup sponsorship deal

DAR ES SALAAM: The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has sealed a three-and-a-half-year contract with CRDB Bank worth 3.76bn/- as the latter becomes the new title sponsor of the Federation Cup.

Formerly known as the Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC), the renowned football competition has officially been re-branded as the CRDB Federation Cup.

Speaking during the signing ceremony at the Bank’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, TFF President Wallace Karia said 100 teams take part in the contest. He also thanked CRDB for being the first institution to sponsor the competition while pledging to adhere to the terms and conditions of the deal.

On his part, CRDB Managing Director Abdulmajid Nsekela said they are going to inject 255m/- for the remaining part of the season.

“Now, the CRDB Bank Federation Cup is in the best 16 phase; as such, we will provide 255m/- to finish this campaign before the start of the 2024-25 season,” he said.
