DAR ES SALAAM: BANK of Africa (BOA) plans to initiate a business people platform to display their products and services to expand the market network and foster socioeconomic development.
Speaking at an Iftar event in Dar es Salaam recently, BOA Acting Managing Director, Wasia Mushi said that the platform aims to expand business people’s network and exchange best practices and experiences.
“The main objective of this platform is for the business people to increase and expand the scope of the businesses while networking by exposing them to existing business opportunities that will fuel economic growth,” said Mr Mushi
He said the bank will continue to organise conferences and training for entrepreneurs and businessmen on tax-related issues, financial management and other banking services to make banking services affordable and easier for the clients.
He said the bank is committed to improving its financial services focusing on promoting the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) groups, which are an important part of contributing to the growth of the National Domestic Product (GDP).
Mr Mushi also added that the bank will improve and continue to develop its banking services, including agencies, Simbanking and Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) to its customers’ fingertips to promote business and stimulate economic growth.
He further emphasized the importance of sharing Iftar in the holy month of Ramadan and the importance of living together religiously and respecting each other to maintain peace, harmony and social welfare.
On his part, the Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA) Sheikh Ramadhan Shareef Koba hailed BOA Tanzania for hosting Iftar citing Prophet Muhammad’s story that ‘he who feeds a fasting believer is rewarded with all the blessings of those who are invited.
