Fourteen leading Chinese firms in Dar to explore opportunities

A total of 14 leading companies in transporting tourists and six media from China are expected to begin a one-week tour in the country today.

Tanzania Ambassador to China, Mr Mbelwa Kairuki said through verified Embassy’s Twitter account that the tour has been organized by the Tanzania’s diplomatic mission in China in collaboration with Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), Zanzibar Tourism Commission (ZTC) under the sponsorship of Air Tanzania Company limited (ATCL).

The envoy said the purpose of the tour is to attract Chinese tourists in the country.

Elaborating on the activities to be conducted by the Chinese delegates in Tanzania, he said on Friday (today) they will visit various tourism attractions in Zanzibar including Stone Town, Dolphin Tour as well as visiting hotels.

The envoy said on the 13th of May, they expect to hold a meeting with tourism stakeholders at Hyatt Park in Zanzibar.

“From Zanzibar, they will travel to Arusha on the 17th where they will also visit tourist attractions including Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti and on the 18th they will hold a meeting with stakeholders at the Grand Melia Hall,” the Ambassador added.

After that, the diplomat said the stakeholders will arrive in Dar es Salaam on the 23rd where they will visit Makumbusho Village Museums and Tanzania and Zambia Railway Station (TAZARA).

He added that on the 24th they will hold a meeting with their fellow stakeholders at the Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam to discuss trade collaborations before flying back to China on the 25th of May 2023.
