Microsoft Names Catherine Muraga New MD For Nairobi Hub Kepha Muiruri

Microsoft has named Catherine Muraga as the new Managing Director for its Nairobi engineering hub- the African Development Centre (ADC).

Ms Muraga takes over ranks from Jack Ngare who is departing from the company after serving as the hub’s founding MD since the creation of the space in 2019.

She holds over 15 years of experience in IT and has worked in a variety of industries including manufacturing, aviation and banking.

The new ADC Managing Director joins Microsoft from Stanbic Bank where she has been serving as the lender’s Head of Engineering since April 2021.

Previously, Ms Muraga has served IT roles in Sidian Bank, Kenya Airways and EABL.

She holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from Africa Nazarene University and has certifications from Oxford’s Said Business School and Columbia Business School.
