    • The offers will only be valid for 24 hours.

Mobile service providers took advantage of the Labour Day celebrations Monday to entice subscribers through promotional price cuts.
Safaricom
and Airtel capitalised on a day most Kenyans would be spending at home by offering data to surf the internet at reduced prices.
Safaricom gifted its customers with a low cost data, messaging and call plan in an offer dubbed “Tunukiwa Labour Day", which will be valid for 24 hours and will only cost subscribers Sh10.
For Sh10, they will get 100 MB data, ten minutes talk time or 1,000 short messages (SMS) valid until midnight.
Airtel on the other hand was offering to reward lucky subscribers with 1GB of data.
"Airtel celebrates you, for your hard labour in building KENYA our prosperous and wonderful nation. How are you celebrating? Share and WIN 1GB," the telco said via its official Twitter handle.
Pay television provider DSTV was also on hand offering a one month TV subscription to friends, colleagues or bosses who make life in the office easier for subscribers.
"Win 1 month compact subscription! Simply RT and tag a friend, workmate or a boss, who makes your life at work easy," the SA-based firm said of the offer that expires on May 2.
Labour Day is marked globally on May 1 every year to celebrate the achievements of all workers.
