However, MNH public relations officer
Aminiel Aligaesha insisted that the hospital had followed all
appropriate procedures on the decision to offer food at the facility.
In an interview with the ‘Daily News’ Mr
Aligaesha pointed out that the hospital had gone through proper
procurement procedures including tender announcements, issuance and
receiving of tender documents.”
The hospital is positive with the
Minister’s directives to go through the programme and we have started
working on them. We will get back to her any time this week,” explained
the PRO.
On Saturday, the minister had instructed
the hospital’s administration to postpone the implementation of the
food service and work on issues raised by the public to make it helpful
to all people.
Minister Mwalimu had said that she
received many complaints from members of the public regarding the
service - most of them expressing dissatisfaction.
