South Korean electronics company LG is angling for a bigger market share in the expanding East Africa real estate sector with eco-friendly air conditioning appliances.
The East and Central Africa subsidiary through Hotpoint Appliance Ltd, its local distributor, LG has been engaging with industry stakeholders to discuss the impact and opportunity for efficient green energy solutions.
LG Electronics Africa Logistics FZE, General Manager, SAC Product Division, Jinan Choi, said there has been a growing demand for eco-friendly and energy efficient air conditioning products.
“The East and Central Africa region has established a strong understanding of the importance of using and developing environment-friendly products. This has led to an influx in demand for LG’s Multi V refrigerant flow (VRF) product solutions that are energy efficient and eco-friendly. We are proud to showcase these solutions today in Kenya and are certain it will create a strong business impact in the community,” Mr Choi said.
LG, which has launched a single inverter line-up, which is 25 per cent more energy efficient and capable of 30 per cent quicker cooling than conventional air conditioning products, says they have modified their products for the discerning customers.
Significant savings
Mr Choi said their latest System AC solutions delivers a host of functional benefits and significant energy savings.
“With quiet inverter technology and high quality air purification and sterilization systems, the consumer can enjoy a healthier environment,” Mr Choi said.
He said LG’s flagship Multi V VRF system is popular among developers, consultants and contractors because of its features such as active refrigerant contro, auto dust removal, smartphone monitoring, and impressively high Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) values of up to 4.34.
LG says it is keeping up with the rapid technological developments within the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning industry, with new features making them highly energy efficient and eco-friendly.
Green technology products are gaining fast traction in response to the increased regulations for energy efficient products locally and globally.
