ZANZIBAR FINANCE and Planning minister Dr Khalid Salum Mohamed.
FINANCE and Planning minister Dr Khalid Salum Mohamed told the House of Representatives that 1,000 Electronic Fiscal Devices (EFD) machines would be bought “soon” to improve revenue collection.

He disclosed this in response to calls from Representatives to improve revenue collection and curb tax exemptions.
“We have been taking multiple measures to improve tax collection and curbing tax exemption,” he said, adding that education on tax payment would also be strengthened.
