He is expected to inspect projects implemented by the Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF) to empower vulnerable families.
Apart from inspecting the projects and talking to TASAF beneficiaries, Mulongo will also inspect other development projects, Mara Regional Administrative Secretary Benedict Ole Kuyan said.
Mara is one of the regions that has been receiving a substantial amount of money meant to support poor families through TASAF.
According to a programme released here, the Regional Commissioner will start his tour in Tarime district and later proceed to other districts. The tour will enable Mulongo familiarise himself with various development activities by people in region bordering Lake Victoria.
Mulongo was recently reappointed by President John Magufuli and transferred to Mara from Mwanza Region
