Family Bank has opened its 90th branch in Wote Town, Makueni County in a push to expand to 100 outlets by the end of the year.

The lender say the strategy will bring services closer to its 1.8 million clients, and enhance its customer service proposition.
The bank has announced plans for an aggressive expansion barely two months after the lender opened three branches including a second outlet along Mombasa Road in Mlolongo, Maua and Kahawa West.
Outgoing Family Bank managing director and chief executive officer, Peter Munyiri said nine branches will be opened by end of the year.
“We will be opening more branches this year to attain our target of 100 branches and which will mark the final stretch of phase one of our expansion,” he said.
The bank plans to use the enhanced branch network to leverage the use of its innovative alternative financial access channels that includes 3000 agents, Internet and mobile banking using its Pesapap platform.
