In Summary
In due course of time, events and
political manoeuvring, the man became his country’s first president
(1962-85) eventually etching himself on the minds of many – Tanzanians
and foreigners alike – as one of the less-than-a-handful of Africa’s
truly iconic leaders by Nature and disposition.
