Owners of Isuzu and Chevrolet vehicles will now be able to
access after-sale services from 11 Auto Xpress outlets across the
country after a deal signed with General Motors East Africa (GMEA)
Limited Friday.
The partnership will see the company
expand its after-sale service network with Auto Xpress expected to grow
to a total 76 outlets in the next two years.
GMEA which
has grown substantially in three years grabbing 28.7 per cent market
share by 2014, said it has trained Auto Express staff to handle Isuzu
and Chevrolet brands with the same expertise and quality standard from
any of General Motors service outlet globally.
Speaking
during the signing, GMEA Managing Director Ms Rita Kaveshe said the
move was part of General Motors strategy to bring its after sales
services closer to their customers.
WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS
“We
have expanded our aftersales network to ensure our customers receive
the same quality aftersales services they receive from us nearer to
their homes,” she said.
Customers visiting the outlets
will access a wide range of motor vehicle products such as wheels,
batteries, suspension parts, lubricants & filter, accessories and
garage tools from the Auto Xpress outlet.
They will
also receive specialized maintenance services which include passenger
tyre changing, balancing suspension bays, passenger car alignment,
computerized truck alignment, truck tyre repair, tyres & tubes.
Auto
Xpress CEO Mr Sandeep Shah noted the partnership has created an
opportunity for the company to diversify its product and service
offering as well as increase its revenue stream.
