Centum Investments has listed its Sh6 billion bond on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
The five year bond, which closed on June 5, 2015, received applications worth Sh8.3 billion compared to the Sh6 billion the firm sought from the market.
“We
are very fortunate that we are in a market where we can reach out to
local investors and raise Sh8.3 billion. This is a testament to the
stability of the capital markets environment,” Centum’s chief executive
James Mworia said.
The investment firm, which bought a
majority stake in K-Rep Bank last year, plans to rebrand the lender and
inject more capital to support its lending book.
