In Summary
- 50: Number of years after every which a youthful leader takes leadership of a country, a Dar astrologer says
Dar es Salaam. The 2015 General
Election would see the young generation taking over the presidency and
many other political positions, Mr Hassan Yahya Hussein, the son of the
late popular astrologer, Sheikh Yahya Hussein, who has succeeded his
father, predicted yesterday.
While referring to some incidents that happened
this year that he said he had foretold, Mr Hussein, told journalists at a
news conference in Dar es Salaam that old people will will next year
face a significant fall in leadership.
Since currently the country has a debate on two
groups for the presidency - youth and old people - he said,
astrologically, it shows that young people will win against the seniors.
Some youth CCM cadres, including January Makamba,
who is currently Deputy minister for Communications, Science and
Technology, and Dr Hamis Kigwangala, have this year come out publicly
to announce their intention to contest the presidency next year.
“The youthfulness I am talking about could be either by their age, face and actions or how they dress,” he clarified.
He said such situation which sees young people
largely take over leadership occurs after every 50 years as it happened
54 years ago when the late Julius Nyerere won the first general election
and took power in Tanganyika.
He appealed to political parties to consider
electing the youth in their internal elections, if they want to win the
2015 elections.
“This is my advice, if the country will take a
different direction and decide to elect old people as president, there
is a danger that the country will lose the head of state through
death,” he warned.
Mr Hussein said senior leaders would continue engaging in war of words.
He predicted that the 2015 elections would feature
chaos, enmity and killings, thus called on the government to take
measures to protect peace during the elections.
On the other hand, the astrologer predicted that
lunar eclipse will happen twice-in March and September next year, noting
that such incidents have significant impact on human life plans.
