The ODM National Executive Committee has issued a collective fine of Sh100,000 to rowdy members who attacked the party's executive director Magerer Lang'at.
The party has also formed task force that will investigate the incident further and report back to NEC in 10 days.
Rowdy party members had last week attacked Mr Lang'at, whom they ejected from the Cord Parliamentary Group meeting in full view of the coalition leadership.
The two men and a woman said to be MCAs in Nairobi pulled Mr Lang’at from the high table and led him away with kicks and blows before more people joined in the assault.
They accused him of being a Jubilee mole and of supporting a push by younger MPs to take over some positions in the ODM party.
