TECNO launches smartphone in Nairobi

Chinese mobile phone maker TECNO has made another stab at the Kenyan smartphone market with a new brand targeted at rivals Samsung, LG and Nokia.

Wednesday, its parent firm- Transsion Holdings, launched Phantom Z that will retail at Sh35,000 and targets middle class buyers.
The new TECNO phone’s pricing falls within the range of the Huawei Ascend P6- which retails at Sh39,999, an Android smartphone which comes with a 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor, 4.7-inch 720p display, 8MP Camera, 5MP front facing camera and 2000 mAh battery.
“The device has an array of features including a 7.9mm unibody design; a 2GB RAM that can store memory of up to 32GB; an 3030mAH battery that delivers 24 hours of talk time,”
