The retired Judge called upon Tanzanians to ignore politicians’ views to that respect and on the other hand he reminded politicians that the military belongs to the people and doesn’t abide to any one political party.
Speaking on the popular ITV Monday night programme ’45 minutes’ Warioba said:
“Those threatening the public of military action to keep them from accepting the three tier government are scared of losing their positions.”
Waryoba stressed that the late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere left one united country and was insistent on the union’s permanency.
He said the current push to break the union is engineered by some people who claim that Tanzania mainland benefit more from the union.
He admitted that issues and imbalance arouse following sections of the Articles of the Union being changed without involvement of key figures from either side of the Union.
“A two government structure is possible but it has to work on issues and challenges of the Union to avoid complaints that Tanzania mainland is getting from Zanzibar,” he summed up.
