President Kikwete and Works minister John Magufuli have earned the praise of some readers for their response to the recent floods in Kilosa, but some award the government as a whole average marks.

I think on this issue, President Jakaya Kikwete and Works minister John magufuli deserve congratulations for the work well done.

Makerege Baraka
Not so much, but they have at least done something good.

Luitfrid Singumlaji
I only see a little effort, all I can see is inefficiency of the disaster management team.

Mohamed Mwanamaz
Here at Mgole, the relief assistance does not reach the affected people; we are suspecting that much of it ends up in the households of local leaders and their families.

I remember that the government promised to build houses for victims of the previous floods at Kilosa. I wonder if the promise has been kept. I am wondering, by extension, whether the victims of the latest floods, who have been rendered homeless, will be assisted by having houses built for them.
