Nairobi, Kenya: President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto on Tuesday met with President Mwai Kibaki at State House, Nairobi.
President Kibaki once again congratulated the two leaders for their win as announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The Head of State wished them success in the noble duty of serving the Kenyan nation and guiding the people on the path of national cohesion, unity and shared prosperity across the country.
President Kibaki also commended the Kenyan people and all the candidates who were seeking elective posts in the general elections for maintaining
peace.
President-elect Kenyatta and Deputy President-elect Ruto commended President Kibaki for leading the country on a transformative path during his ten-year leadership as Head of State and facilitating a transparent, secure and peaceful transition.
