DAR ES SALAAM Stock Exchange (DSE) posted a turnover of 3.74bn/- which is 29 per cent decrease from the previous week of 5.28bn/- with the Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) dominating the market share by 95 per cent.

In regards to share price value, Zan Securities Limited said in its weekly wrap-ups that there were no top gainers, but top loser was NICO depreciating in value by 5 per cent to close the week 295/- per share. The week under review saw the National Investment Co. Ltd (NICO) re-listing again on the DSE to become the 28th listed company at the Exchange.
NICO entered the market trading at 300/- per share. Total market capitalisation increased by 0.90 per cent, closing at 22.41tri/- while domestic market capitalisation improved by 0.19 per cent, closing this week at 10.97tri/-.
Comparatively, key benchmark indices were in the green territory with the Tanzania Share Index (TSI) capping at 4,176.65 points while the All Share Index (DSEI) closed at 2,316.50 points, up by 0.44 per cent.
Similarly, the three sector indices were in the green and red territory with the Industrial and Allied Index closing at 6,160.70 points as it was in the previous week. Banks, Finance and Investment Index closed at 2,520.70 points, down by 0.02 per cent and Commercial Services Sector Index closed at 2,331.27 points, same as last week.
