The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Professor Kitila Mkumbo, has officially rejoined the ruling Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM), the party’s Singida Region Chairperson, Martha Mlata, has just announced.
The press statement issued on Thursday by CCM in Singida regional office, Ms Mlata welcomed Prof Mkombo to strengthen the party and implementing its manifesto for the betterment of Singida and the nation at large.
“It is a great opportunity for the region to receive a teacher after losing a student few days ago,” the statement added.
The former CCM Singida North MP Lazaro Nyalandu recently defected to the opposition Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema).
