National Electoral Commission (NEC) has announced names of eight individuals to replace CUF legislators who lost their seats in the National Assembly after being stripped of their party membership.
The names are: Rukia Ahmed Kassim, Shamsia Aziz Mtamba, Kiza Hussein Mayeye and Zainab Mndolwa Amir.
Others are Hindu Hamis Mwenda, Sonia Jumaa Magogo,Alfredina Kahigi and Nuru Awadhi Bafadhili.
According to a statement availed to the
press this afternoon, the nomination of the new MPs was done after it
received official information from the Speaker of the National Assembly.
